That Parachute book is good if for nothing else than the 'welcome note' discipline drilled into your head. No job yet, but some excellent interviews and callbacks 'co-incidentally' after the thank-you note would have arrived.

It's a tough market for everyone. What makes it a bitter pill to swallow is the fact that people with jobs all seem to be busy. It doesn't add up, but the networking advice is so true.

'Build your runway' when it's slow and when the opportunity comes (usually via a connection) you're set.

I've decided to hold off on the PMP for now, I have friends with Masters AND PMP and they're out of work too.

I agree with you.But my my question is that how can an international student like me will get referrals?I did PMP with a hope that i will be noticed but all in vain. However i truly agree with you and i know that its hard to get a job at a new place but not impossible.

Thanks for sharing.
